Motoring Press Agency (MPA) was established by Jonathan Gill and Jeremy Clarkson (of Top Gear fame) in 1984. Set up to provide motoring editorial to the spiralling number of regional newspapers, MPA quickly evolved into one of the UK’s leading news agencies covering the fast moving worlds of both automotive and motor sport.
After Jeremy departed (amicably!) for TV stardom, MPA joined forces with Deborah Tee and acquired emerging creative agency Fingal to form a broader ‘one-stop-shop’ providing specialist new media, print, marketing and PR solutions for an impressive client portfolio. The success of MPA Fingal saw it grow in size, with over 50 employees and a turnover of £5m. In 2007, the business was bought by John Brown Publishing.
It wasn’t long before Gill and Tee joined forces once again, when in 2008, MPA Creative was formed.
Having gone full circle, MPA Creative is back to being a dynamic, flexible agency, working closely with each of its clients, offering a full range of creative PR, marketing and editorial solutions.
The team of highly skilled and respected names in their specialist fields boasts an enviable track record for dedication, attention to detail and delivering exceptional results via a willingness to go the extra mile. It’s this ‘can do’ attitude that has helped MPA to build up and maintain such a long and loyal list of major clients whilst at the same time guaranteeing the team’s eagerness to seize new business opportunities.
In recent years MPA has underlined its expertise by winning four major PR honours: the 2014 Headline Auto Award, the coveted Hollis PR Award, the B2B Marketing Award for ‘Best Public Relations Campaign’ and the B2B ‘Grand Prix’ accolade for the best PR & Marketing Campaign of the Year.
