On February 15 2015 the UK’s most competitive hire-kart series, the TW Steel DMAX Championship will roar off the grid at Daytona Milton Keynes for the start of what promises to be its best season ever.

From February through to November, the phenomenal hire-kart championship will visit seven nationwide venues including all THREE of Daytona’s outdoor circuits. Milton Keynes, Sandown Park (Esher) and the brand new Daytona Motorsport acquisition, Daytona Tamworth are all on the bill for the 2015 season.

Daytona Motorsport is also pleased to announce that it will take delivery of 50 brand new DMAX karts for the coming year. In the coming weeks Daytona’s engineering team will be preparing the new Birel rolling chassis’, powered by the Rotax MAX Evo engine which will be ready to roll for the second round of the 2015 series at Sandown Park in Esher, Surrey.

Since its inception six years ago, the Daytona DMAX Championship has seen an unprecedented increase in competitor numbers year-on-year. In 2010, the average number of entries for each round was 55. Compare that to 2013 where numbers increased to 139 drivers which is an astounding 150 percent increase on driver entries since 2010.

What is the secret behind the DMAX Championship’s unrivalled success?

Since it burst onto the grid in 2009, Daytona Motorsport has continued to develop the TW Steel DMAX Championship into the UK’s most successful hire-kart series.  Managing the superb fleet of state-of-the art DMAX karts and guaranteeing a highly competitive, equal playing field at affordable prices is of paramount importance to Daytona Motorsport. The karts are designed by World Championship winning manufacturer Birel and powered by legendary Rotax 2-stroke engines. With exceptional handling, agility and speeds of up to 80mph, the DMAX karts are unquestionably the fastest hire-karts available in the UK today.

How much does it cost to enter the DMAX Championship?

Race entry costs just £199 inc VAT for Endurance Rounds, £175 inc VAT for Heats Rounds.  Entry to both championships on the same day costs just £304 inc VAT – and drivers will benefit from a 2.5% loyalty discount for every round they enter.

Jim Graham, TW Steel DMAX Championship Series Director is understandably thrilled with the success of the Series. “Just look at the statistics. We had an average of over 100 drivers competing in each of the 2014 Championship rounds” he enthused.

“This Championship offers the chance for serious kart enthusiasts – looking for the best in racing technology at the most affordable price – to enter a series without any of the hassle or expense of owning and transporting equipment. With a brand new fleet of karts and the new Rotax Max Evo engines arriving in 2015, TW Steel DMAX will be bigger and better in 2015″.

The 2014 TW Steel DMAX Series also saw the closest racing ever, with fastest laps split by one thousandth of a second, races won by the smallest of margins and championship positions decided on the last lap of the last race at the last round.
