- MPA growth continues with introduction of new dedicated events management arm
- Clients to benefit from extensive national and international expertise
- ‘This is the latest exciting chapter in the MPA story!’ – MPA Creative CEO, Deborah Tee
Surrey-based MPA Group today (Tuesday, 20 April) announced that it has launched a third business arm – MPA Events – joining the existing MPA Creative and MPA Commercial organisations under the MPA umbrella.
Motoring Press Agency (MPA) was established by Jonathan Gill and Jeremy Clarkson in 1984 and quickly became one of the UK’s leading news agencies covering the automotive and motorsport worlds. Then in 2008, MPA Creative was formed and is now at the forefront of motorsport PR in the UK, while MPA Commercial has been offering a truly bespoke service to both brands and rights-holders of some of the biggest organisations in the sport since 2015.
MPA’s recent growth across the industry has seen the company manage accounts for notable clients, including pioneering new all-electric off-road series Extreme E, the world’s leading automotive auctioneer RM Sotheby’s and F1.
MPA’s diverse portfolio comprises a wide range of clients from across the motorsport industry, many of whom – including Honda, BMW, Dell EMC, RM Sotheby’s and the British Touring Car Championship – have benefitted from the agency’s events expertise in recent years. Now though, MPA has grown to officially offer its bespoke events services to both new and existing clients.
This expansion represents the third in MPA’s history and highlights a growing momentum for the organisation. MPA Events will be headed by former MPA Creative Account Manager Amelia Bovey, who brings a wealth of event and client management experience to the role.
“We couldn’t be happier to be launching MPA Events,” commented MPA Creative CEO, Deborah Tee. “MPA Creative has established itself as a leading motorsport PR agency since its inception, then we added another string to our bow in 2015 with the creation of MPA Commercial. The events arm of the business is the latest exciting chapter in the MPA story.
“Our dedicated team has gained a huge amount of events experience over the years and we feel now is the right time to capitalise on this. 2021 is shaping up to be a fantastic year for MPA, and this can only add to that momentum.”
“This is a great next step for MPA as a wider organisation,” added MPA Chief Commercial Officer, Daniel Bailey. “We’ve learned a lot over recent years so we’re definitely ready to take on this new challenge. It’s brilliant to see MPA continue to grow and expand its offering into other areas.”
“It’s hugely exciting to be launching MPA Events,” said MPA Events Director, Amelia Bovey. “Having previously provided events services to a number of clients with the accounts team at MPA, it makes sense to now offer this as an official MPA service.”
