Kwik Fit to showcase BTCC stars at Goodwood Festival of Speed

Line-up includes quartet of race winning drivers and a leading BTCC car

A number of the Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship’s leading lights will be in attendance at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard (23-26 June 2022).

Rich Energy BTC Racing’s Jason Plato and Josh Cook, NAPA Racing UK’s Dan Cammish and Car Gods with Ciceley Motorsport’s Adam Morgan will showcase the BTCC alongside Kwik Fit at the world’s greatest celebration of motorsport and car culture.

All four drivers – with 130 BTCC race wins between them – will be involved in Kwik Fit’s official activities at the Festival of Speed prior to travelling to Croft for that weekend’s BTCC event, including Q&As, autograph sessions and interviews, with a full timetable to follow.

Cammish will also get behind the wheel of a fully-fledged BTCC two-seater NAPA Racing UK Ford Focus on Thursday and Friday at the Festival of Speed, and take part in the iconic Hillclimb twice on both days as well as a timed shootout.

Although Plato, Cook, Cammish and Morgan will be departing for Croft on the Friday, a number of old BTCC favourites will be attending for the remainder of the weekend, while the NAPA Racing UK two-seater will continue to go up the hill twice each on Saturday and Sunday.

After making its Goodwood debut at last year’s Festival of Speed, Kwik Fit – the UK’s leading automotive servicing and repair company – is back for 2022 with an even greater presence. As well as the BTCC activities, Kwik Fit will also highlight its expertise in the likes of car repair and EV technology, with more information to follow over the coming weeks.

Events and activities hosted by Kwik Fit will be available to view via the Goodwood Motorsport App during the Festival of Speed in order for visitors to add to their personalised timetables, while for those unable to attend the Festival of Speed should make sure they are following Kwik Fit’s social media channels.

Jason Plato said: “Wow, what a week we have in store! Clashing events between the Festival of Speed and the BTCC is usually a deal breaker, but Kwik Fit have pulled out all the stops so we can spend time with the fans at both ends of the country. It should be a really memorable few days for all involved and I can’t wait.”

Dan Cammish said: “I’m really looking forward to the Goodwood Festival of Speed with Kwik Fit. We have lots planned and it should be an absolute blast. To be the only current BTCC driver going up the hill this year is an absolute privilege, and it’s even more incredible considering we’ll be racing at Croft just a few days later.”

Josh Cook said: “The Festival of Speed is one of the most prestigious events on the calendar so to be there with Kwik Fit, ahead of our trip to Croft, is going to be great. I can’t wait to see the thousands of spectators and of course the amazing cars and stars that the Festival of Speed always attracts.”

Adam Morgan said: “Bring it on! It’s all thanks to Kwik Fit that we’ve been able to make this happen before we head up to Croft for the race weekend. We’ve got interviews, Q&As, autograph sessions and photo opportunities planned across the Thursday and Friday, and they should be a fantastic couple of days at Goodwood.”
